An interior designer who paints for the space
Diana Kindrat trained as an architect and spent several years working as an interior designer. But she has been painting for as long as she can remember — first as a passion, then as a practice of its own. A feel for form, proportion and colour stayed with her, yet on canvas it lives freely, in a warm, naïve manner.
A rabbit runs through every painting as its recurring character. In each work it lives a different story — another era, role and temperament, recognizable by small details: a hat, a cape, a prop at its side. It keeps the series unified while each canvas tells its own tale.
Canvases are painted by hand, layer by layer — from a warm brown underpaint to flat fields of color and textured accents. No editions: every painting is one of a kind and signed by hand.
